Jamshedpur, Sep 8: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy, laid the foundation stone for two boundary wall construction projects in his constituency on Sunday. The projects funded from the legislative fund would amount to Rs. 23.41 lakhs and would include the fencing of a Mansa site for the tribal community in Babu Basti at Bhuinadih and the construction of a boundary wall near the Shiva temple in Zone 3 ‘D’, Birsa Nagar.
During the ceremony Roy emphasized the importance of preserving tribal heritage. These projects aimed to protect the sacred land of tribals and provide a safe environment around the temple for the community, he remarked.
The event was attended by prominent local figures including BJP leader Subodh Srivastava, Scheduled Caste Morcha President Prakash Koya and tribal leaders Gomi Sundi and Nandlal Patar. Residents and community leaders who maintained the Mansa site were honoured for their efforts in preserving the area.
Santi Sundi, a local leader praised the initiative saying that the boundary wall was not just protection but also a symbol of respect for culture and traditions.
