Jamshedpur: The residents of Jamshedpur West assembly constituency can now complain about problems related to basic civic amenities to the authorities concerned in five different ways.
Be it the power woes or problems related to water crisis, roads, drainage system, cleanliness or law and order, they can call on the toll free phone number (18001212395), land line number (0651-7122702, 0651-7122703) or mobile number cum Whatsapp number (8340538723) provided for the purpose by the state Food Minister-cum-local MLA Saryu Roy.
After lodging the complaint, the complainants would get a number. They may give reminders to the authorities in case their problem remains unattended or unsolved, officials said, adding that the DC and SP of the concerned district have been informed about the new facility to make sure that their participation in solving problems faced by the people is ensured. This was informed on Friday by Saryu Roy in a hotel at Sakchi.
Roy inaugurated the web portal ‘Nivaran Kendra’ through which complaints may be lodged. He said the complaints could be lodged on the web portal http://www.saryuroy.in or through an email to the address [email protected].
Roy said he would be paying the bills for the toll free phone number facility which has been taken from a call centre run by one Ritesh Gupta. In case the complaint gets more than 10 days old, it would be shown in a different colour on the web portal, Roy said, adding that this would lead the government authorities concerned to take prompt action in each case.
Roy said he was inspired by the Ranchi MLA CP Singh and Godda MLA Amit Mandal who had started such complaint facility for the people in their respective assembly constituencies.
Also present at the meeting were Deepak Sahay, special officer of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, JP Yadav, special officer of Mango Notified Area Committee and Chitranjan Verma, representative of the MLA, and Mukul Mishra.
