Chaibasa, March 31: Deputy Commissioner Dr Shantanu Kumar and Superintendent of Police Anish Gupta chaired a peace committee meeting of the district ahead of the Ram Navmi festival, at Mangilal Rungta High school on Friday.
DC directed the electricity department to evade load-shedding till the festival. DC also asked the municipality to provide drinking water at the venue of procession.
Cleanliness would be maintained by municipality at all Navrtari worship Pandal. Volunteers of Ram Navami associations would be provided with identity badge strip.
DC said that those samiti who reach to the place of immersion first would be awarded.
The playing of DJ is strictly prohibited during the procession and those who would participate in display they should submit their list to the concerned PS so that they can display their art without any disturbances.
The supply of water should be provided for extra 15 minutes during the puja days.
The list of volunteers should be submitted to police station. DC greeted the members of peace committee to celebrate Puja with peace and harmony. Present during the meeting were DSPs of three subdivision and the members of peace committee .
