Jamshedpur, October 2: State food and civil supplies minister, Saryu Rai, on Sunday visited Mango Gandhi Maidan and paid floral tributes to the idols of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
To accelerate the Swachhta programme, MLA Saryu Rai also flagged off a garbage pickup vehicles service started by Mango Notified Area Committee (MNAC) to collect door- to-door trash.
Later he visited Gandhi Ghat at unveiled a bust of Mahatma Gandhi.
On the occasion DC Amit Kumar, SSP Anoop T Mathew, DDC Vinod Kumar, ADC Sunil Kumar, SDO Suraj Kumar, DPRO Sanjay Kumar, MNAC special officer Jagdish Yadav and several others paid homage to Gandhi.
