Jamshedpur, April 28: State food and civil supplies minister Saryu Rai visited �Jeevika� on Thursday and spent some happy and touching moments with special persons and their parents.
Jeevika is a Sonari based NGO committed to rehabilitate these persons mainly through joyful sports.
These special persons prepare echo friendly products and sell them.
This is the only NGO in India that allows mentally challenged persons to merge in the mainstream of the society with confidence and respect through stepwise sports training.
Addressing a gathering at Jeevika, Saryu Rai praised the unique efforts by all the staff members and assured all possible assistance in the future.
Among the guests, Kamla Subramanium from DBMS, advocate Harjeet Singh, Kamaljeet Kaur, Baijnath Sharma, Mukund Mishra and many others were present in large numbers.
Avtar Singh, founder of Jeevika and Sukhdeep Kaur, secretary, thanked the minister for his visit and spending quality time with the children.
