Sarkar Yoga Academy to celebrates Silver Jubilee on Aug 20

Jamshedpur, August 19: Sarkar Yoga Academy will toe another success line with the celebration of its Silver Jubilee on Sunday, August 20 with a special programme at The Rabindra Bhawan in Sakchi from 3 pm.

Jharkhand Health and Disaster management Minister, Banna Gupta will be the Chief Guest on the occasion. Other dignitaries who will be present on the occasion of the Academy’s Silver Jubilee celebrations include SSP Prabhat Kumar and Director of Elite Sports, Nishant Dayal.

While providing a detailed briefing on the programme, the Founder-Director of Sarkar Yoga Academy, Yoga Guru Anshu Sarkar said the honour list included the dignitaries and individuals. He added that more than 350 individuals from various segments including the winners of the two day Yoga District Competition that got underway on Saturday would be honoured and awarded on the occasion.

Honour and award categories will include Yoga Lovers Award, Academy’s Former Students, Best Helping Hands, Disciplined and Obedient Students among others. Following the awards ceremony, a cultural program will also be organized. The event will witness the presence of esteemed individuals from corporate, education, industry, social and political realms as guests. Anshu Sarkar stated that Sarkar Yoga Academy was founded in 1997 and since then, it had been consistently connecting people from all walks of life with yoga, promoting healthy living and well-being both in the city and across the world. “I dreamt for years of spreading the practice of yoga among people. This dream has now materialized and will continue to spread,” Anshu observed.
