Sarkar Yoga Academy Jamshedpur to host art and yoga competitions at KPS Kadma

Jamshedpur: The ‘Fourth Open Jharkhand Sit and Draw Competition’ and the ‘Fifth Open Inter School Avasam Yoga Championship’ will be jointly organized by Sarkar Yoga Academy at Kerala Public School (KPS), Kadma, on 7th December. These events aim to promote artistic and physical wellness among participants of all ages.

International Yoga Guru Anshu Sarkar, the founder of Sarkar Yoga Academy, shared details about the events, stating, “The Sit and Draw Competition will be inaugurated at 9 am by Sharat Chandran, Director of KPS, and special guest Satish Ganpati, Head of Tata Steel Equipment Maintenance.” The closing ceremony, set for 6 pm, will feature Dr. Ashok Kumar Srivastava, Vice Chancellor of Amity University, Jharkhand, as the chief guest. Other guests include Lakshmi R, Director Academics at KPS, and Sharmila Mukherjee, Principal of KPS Kadma.

The competition will be divided into 11 groups, welcoming participants from 4 years old to senior citizens. Winners from the first to tenth place in each group will receive awards, and all participants will be given consolation prizes and certificates. Two title awards, ‘Junior Artist of the Year (Jharkhand)’ and ‘Senior Artist of the Year (Jharkhand)’, will also be presented. A total of 334 participants will be recognized for their efforts.

Additionally, the Inter School Yoga Championship will feature six groups, with no age restrictions, allowing students from 20 schools and numerous colleges to participate. The event will celebrate the unity of creativity and wellness.
