Jamshedpur, Feb 16: East Jamshedpur legislator Saryu Roy organized Saraswati Puja at his residence for the first time on Tuesday. His nephew Asutosh Roy informed that the worship of the Goddess of learning was a regular affair but it was confined to the family he said, “This year, we are observing Devi Saraswati’s worship in a bigger way. We worship the deity to imbibe in the children our rich traditional and cultural practices and the inherent importance. Elders educate the children on why and how pujas are performed.”
Bharatiya Janata Morcha (BJM) executives attended the puja at Saryu Roy’s residence. Prayers were conducted by the priest in strict accordance with Vedic rituals. Consecrated food was distributed among guests and devotees present. MLA Saryu Roy greeted all devotees present on the occasion.
