Sanjib Sardar lays foundation for road, nine projects worth Rs 2.06 Crore

Jamshedpur, Nov 21:  Potka MLA Sanjib Sardar on Friday laid the foundation stone for the construction of a 1.65-kilometre road from Kendmudi Chowk to Veersinghdih via Kendmudi under the Gangadih Panchayat. The project, sanctioned under the Chief Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojna, had been approved at a cost of Rs1.67 crore.

Along with the road project, the MLA also inaugurated nine development projects worth approximately ₹39 lakh approved from the MLA fund. Villagers welcomed the MLA warmly and in traditional style during the ceremony.

Development pace in Potka had doubled under CM Hemant Soren

Addressing the gathering, Sardar said that the pace of rural development in the Potka constituency was continuously accelerating. He added that the transformation of villages had gained momentum under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

According to him, based on the needs and consent of villagers, priority was being given to essential work such as the construction of bathing ghats in ponds, paver block roads and concrete irrigation drains. He expressed confidence that these projects would become milestones in the holistic development of rural Potka.

The MLA alleged that Jharkhand lagged behind during the BJP’s 19-year rule, but the present government was ensuring that development reached every village. He also appealed to villagers to make maximum use of government schemes and assured that Jharkhand was on course to join the ranks of prosperous states.

Hundreds of villagers, including former councilor Chandravati Mahato, Hiramani Murmu, Jharkhand activist Sunil Mahato, Mukhiya Kartik Murmu, Deputy Mukhiya Kushnu Murmu and Panchayat Samiti member Dukhu Mardi, were present on the occasion.

Projects for which foundation stones were laid included construction of a bathing ghat in Balidih village, construction of a paver block road in Chhota Bandua, construction of a bathing ghat in Hakai, construction of a bathing ghat in Mukundpur, construction of a paver block road in Neemdih, Khairpal, construction of a paver block road in Mudsai, construction of an irrigation drain in Jamdih, Datobeda and construction of a paver block road in Haldipokhar West Panchayat.
