Sangeeta Murmu, Chana Hansda win 100m sprint race

Jamshedpur, Feb 25: District level sports competition was organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra, East Singhbhum on 24th February 2022 at Jaipal Stadium, Karandi. Deputy chairman of District Council  Rajkumar Singh was present as the chief guest. Sportsmen Arjun Tudu along with social worker Shivkumar Hansda, social worker Sunil Champia was present as special guests.

Football, Tug of War, 100 meters race, 1600 meters race and 100 meters race for women were organized. Team Sadar block bagged the first position while Dumaria was adjudged the runner-up in football competition. In Tug of War Potka block was first followed by team from Musabani block. In 1600 meters race Vinod Baske got first position, Robin Kumar Singh got second position and Lal Tudu bagged third place. Chana Hansda got first position, Rohit Kumar Singh got second position and Kartik Kumar Singh got third place in mens 100 meters race. In 100m women’s category Sangeeta Murmu bagged first place while Anita Murmu got second and Dulari Baske got third position.

The winners were awarded by the guests. District Youth Officer of Nehru Yuva Kendra, East Singhbhum Anjali Kumari and Accounts and Program Assistant Ashish Jain were also present in the program.
