
Jamshedpur, Sept.: Green Day was celebrated in an instructive way where the children of classes Pre-Nursery to Preparatory learnt about the importance of green colour and the positive effects it has in our lives. The school witnessed a series of activities like speeches, poem recitation, dance performance by the tiny tots, ramp walk, plantation activity, thumb printing activity.
The students and teachers came dressed in pretty green attires and looked eco friendly. The classrooms were beautifully decorated in green theme and all the green objects were brought by the students.
The students were taught to identify and recognize various green fruits, vegetables, animals, trees and green objects around them. Children brought green eatables in their tiffins. Few students came dressed up as live models of green objects such as frog, grapes, coconut, trees, guava, green apple, parrot and recited rhymes.
Samrat Kumar Sinha of Prep.(A) was awarded as Mr. Green and Anshi Kumari of Prep. (B) as Miss Green.
The enthusiastic students took the initiative of planting saplings to make our Mother Earth green. They were introduced to various shades of green such as olive green, bottle green, parrot green, sea green etc.
Bubbling with enthusiasm in their astonishing green costumes the little ones created a pleasant and refreshing aura. The colourful activity infused in them vigor, vitality and freshness.
