Durga Puja Pandal at Jamshedpur’s Bagbera to spread message of save girl child

Jamshedpur�: Sarvajanik Puja Committee Bagbera Housing Colony road no 4 Puja Committee this year will spread message of save the girl child. Bagbera Housing Colony committee is projecting  tribal culture with the concept of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’. The pandal has become centre of attraction. 

Over 40 artisans from Kolaghat are constructing pandal at a cost of Rs 18 lakh. The whole budget of the committee will be around Rs 27 lakh. Special arrangements have been made as the puja committee which has stepped on its 58th year. The pandal will be made from jute, plaster of paris.

“We are spreading  a  message for better awareness of the masses and want them to work for  saving the girl child. We will have a 35 ft art work of a mother carrying a child to communicate the message better,” said an official of
the Sarvajanik Durga Puja Committee, Bagbera Housing Colony.

The pandal twill be inaugurated on October  3. Special team to help curb any possible untoward incident at the pandal and its vicinity. Also the whole area will be installed with about 12 CCTV.

The committee has also arranged for a number of dustbins that will be placed across the pandal area.
