Jamshedpur: Students of Samarthya Residential School in Golmuri were today made aware of their legal rights at a program organized by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) in the institution�s campus. The chief guest on the occasion, First Class Magistrate Krishna Lohra spoke to the children and explained to them in detail about their Fundamental Rights and responsibilities. He also cast light on Child Protection Act (CPA). He stated that amendments had been made to the Act to implement schemes launched by the government for their benefit. There should be arrangements so that the children could benefit from these schemes.
District CPA official Dr Chanchal Kumari explained the provisions of the Act and also about their rehabilitation. She also informed the children of the residential school about Foter Home law.
Others present on the occasion included advocate Krishna Prasad, PLV Luv Kumar and the school�s principal. The program was anchored by PLV Sanjita Mishra.
