Jamshedpur: Social organization SAMADHAN distributed clothes, sweets, candles, oil lamps and fire crackers among Sabar families in Khadiakocha village at Jadugoda prior to the Dipawali festival.
SAMADHAN has adopted Khadiakocha village and is trying to join the Sabar tribal to the mainstream of life on a war footing. The entire Khadiakocha village was lit up and cracker-bursts reflected the joy of the Sabars.
The chief patron of SAMADHAN was present along with other members of this social outfit. The president of the organization, Punam Vig said that no joy was greater than bring happiness to deprived people and we are committed to this vision. A testimony to this vision was the excitement and happiness writ large on the faces of the Sabar children.
Among the SAMADHAN members present at the village on this occasion included Kuljit Sadana, Amita Mahendru, Harjit Bhatia, Gitanjali Bose, Amarjit Singh Raja, SK Mishra, Jaswinder Kaur and Rajman Singh.
