Samadhan launches Go Green Jamshedpur campaign

Jamshedpur: Go Green Jamshedpur campaign was launched on Tuesday under the aegis of social organization Samadhan. The outfit members took a pledge to save the environment by planting more and more trees at a function organized at KIDJEE Green Earth School in Sonari.

The chief guest of the occasion was district BJP president cum patron of the outfit Dinesh Kumar. He said Samadhan had been planting saplings for the last three years without break. He said the outfit had set a target of planting 1008 saplings.

Today, 20 saplings were planted by the outfit members. Addressing the gathering, the BJP president said indiscriminate cutting of trees was leading to huge levels of pollution. Hence planting trees is the only option left out, he said.

Among others present during the programme included Poonam Vig, Devendra Marwah, Harpreet Marwah, Sunita Sachdev and Sarabjeet Bhatia.
