Jamshedpur, Nov. 8: Social organization ‘Samadhan’ which organized mass wedding for eleven underprivileged couples in its foundation year 2015 is again gearing up to host mass wedding for 15 couples in the first week of December 2016.
On Tuesday, an introductory session was organised with couples and their family members who had applied for the wedding at Son Mandap premises in Sidhgora on Tuesday.
The couples and their families from Jamshedpur and nearby areas were informed about the terms and conditions related to the mass wedding. At the event, registration process of several couples was also held and measurement for their wedding dress was also taken.
Patron of ‘Samadhan’, Dinesh Kumar, said, for the last four months the members of the organization led by President Poonam Vig launched campaign and selected 15 couples which fulfilled all the criteria and the whole expense of the wedding will be borne by Samadhan.
He further informed, this time mass wedding of 15 couples will be held as compared to 11 previous year. The number has been increased in compared to last year to help benefit the maximum people of the society.
At the mass wedding event caste feeling has been kept aside and we aim to help the needy no matter from what background he or she is from.
A member of the organisation said, registration process has concluded and the preparations are ongoing at fast pace. The registration process which began on August 1 continued till September 30.
Several social, political, religious organizations have pledged their support to the cause. On the occasion, Patron of ‘Samadhan’ Dinesh Kumar, President Poonam Vig, Kuljeet Sadana, Harjeet Bhatia, Kiran Shaw, Ruchita Chabra, Madhu Prasad, Ankit Anand, ANil Sinha, Anjali Singh, Tanveer, Saraswati Sahu, Sonia Sahu, Ratna Sahu, Latika Sahu, Seema Jaiswal, Anita Bhivar, Satish Sharma, Madhusmita Behera and others were present.
