Samadhaan shares Diwali joy with Sabar families

Jamshedpur: Social organization, Samadhaan,  today celebrated Diwali amidst 21 Sabar families who reside in Khadiakocha village near Jadugoda. The team members gifted, sweets, fruits, crackers and earthen lamps among all the denizens. When crackers, rockets and colourful flower pot (anaar in Hindi) were set alight, the smiles of joy on the faces of children emanated the spirit of the festival of lights. Members also instructed them on how to light fire crackers safely.

Executive president of Samadhaan Bina Arun Khirwal said, �We celebrate Diwali by distributing sweets and lighting earthen lamps and bursting fire crackers with our families. We have adopted the Sabars of Khadiakocha village and they are like family to us. We want to bring light into their lives.�

Samadhaan has been trying to join the Sabars to the mainstream of life. The team also organizes health checkup camps at regular intervals in Khadiakocha besides celebrating major festivals there.

The Samadhaan team led by Bina Arun Khirwal comprised Asish Gulati, Punam Sahu, Gita Bagaria, Kuljit Sadana, Harjit Bhatia, Ankit Anand, Sunita Sachdev, Kamlesh Vibhar, Anita Vibhar who were joined by the local villagers in the Diwali celebrations.
