DBMS College of Education observes World Polio Day

Jamshedpur:  The Rotaract Club of DBMS College of Education and Rotary Femina jointly observed World Polio Day among students of Bal Kalyan Vidya Mandir at Kadma, especially for those who come from economically weak families. The children were given detailed information about Polio through talks and Nukkad Natak presentations by students of B Ed and D.El.Ed courses. Students of both the courses explained measures to be taken for prevention of Polio and also presented street corner plays. They included Shikha, Manisha, Anusuiya, Sarvprit Kaur, Yasmti, Kajal, Nitu, Sneha, Anindita, Bidyut, Aparajita, Alka, Sonali, Mona Lisa, Sandhya, Pujarini, Manprit, Tripti, Swapnil and Neha.

Rotaract Club coordinator Anjali Ganeshan organized a poster competition among the students of classes IV, V and VI. Dipak Das, Subhash Gupta and Pawan Mukhi won the top three places respectively.

DBMS College of Education Rotaract Club members Khushbu Yadav, Suyasha, Ayesha, Neha Kaur and N Lekha organized the program along with Rotary Femina members Vidya Narayan and Sripriya Dharmarajan. Others present were Tamil Selvi, Principal Dr Juhi Samarpita, Maya Sahay, Sushila, Niva Mishra, Dr Khushwant Kaur, Dr Suman Sharma, Pamela Ghosh Dutta, Amrita Chowdhury, Nikki Singh, Sudip Pramanik and Julian Anthony.
