Jamshedpur, April 11: The Gurdwara Management Committee, Sakchi, will organise a special “Asa Ki Vaar Kirtan Darbar” on Sunday, April 12, to promote spiritual awareness and connect devotees with Sikh traditions. The early morning programme will be held at Gurudwara Sahib, Sakchi, from 4:30 am to 6:30 am.
The event aims to immerse the congregation in the spiritual essence of Gurbani through the recitation of ‘Asa Ki Vaar’, a sacred Sikh hymn traditionally sung at dawn. The renowned Gursikh Kirtani Jatha, ‘Amritvela Parivar’, will lead the kirtan and create a devotional atmosphere with melodious renditions.

Organisers said the programme will bring together elements of Naam Simran, devotion, and spiritual reflection, offering devotees an opportunity to begin their day with peace and positivity. Such early morning gatherings hold special significance in Sikhism, as they are considered ideal for connecting with the divine.

Sardar Nishan Singh, President of the Gurdwara Management Committee, Sakchi, appealed to the devotees to participate in large numbers. He said that ‘Asa Ki Vaar’ is not just a kirtan but a way to awaken the soul through Gurbani. He added that these events help strengthen spiritual values and promote unity in society.
The committee is also focusing on encouraging the younger generation to engage with Sikh culture, Gurbani, and kirtan traditions. Enthusiasm is high among the local sangat, and a large turnout is expected for the spiritual gathering.
