Women’s Relay bronze caps TSAF’s stellar nationals campaign

TSAF Rowing Academy bag four medals in Cuttack

Jamshedpur, April 11: Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) Rowing Academy has scripted a remarkable milestone in its young journey by securing its fourth and final medal at the National Indoor Rowing Championship 2026 being held in Cuttack.

The latest addition to this historic run came in the Women’s Relay Event, where the team of Shreya Kumari, Komal Kumari, Gauri Kumari Sahu, and Aditi Yadav clinched the bronze medal, showcasing exceptional teamwork, resilience, and determination.

This achievement marks the culmination of an extraordinary campaign for TSAF, which began with the academy winning its first-ever national medal in rowing and continued with consistent podium finishes over the course of the championship. With a total of four national medals, the academy has firmly announced its arrival on the national rowing stage.

What makes this success even more significant is the journey behind it. Just two years ago, the TSAF Rowing Academy started with minimal resources, limited infrastructure, and no formal ecosystem. Through sheer determination, innovative efforts to raise funds, and a clear vision, the academy built its foundation from the ground up.

Most of the athletes come from rural backgrounds, particularly from the Dimna region, and their success stands as a powerful testament to TSAF’s commitment to grassroots development and inclusive sporting excellence.

The performance at the National Indoor Rowing Championship 2026 is not just a medal tally—it is a reflection of a system that believes in long-term athlete development, resilience, and opportunity creation.
