Sahitya Sammelan to focus on ‘passing over of Bengali short stories’

Jamshedpur, March 6: Nikhil Bharat Banga Sahitya Sammelan, Jamshedpur Branch will observe their 58th Annual Conference on Sunday, March 9 at Sonari Communiy Centre, Kagal Nagar, said Jharna Kar, Branch Secretary of the Sammelan talking to the media persons on Thursday. Jharna further informed that every year we have different theme and this year the subject of the conference will be ‘Passing over of Bengali Short Stories’ while main speaker for the event will be Anil Ghorai who is an eminent writer will speak about the subject and Bengali short stories how they have changed over the time.

Chief Guest for the event will be Jayanta Ghosh, General Secretary of Nikhil Bharat Banga Sahitya Sammelan while Special Guest will be Dilip Bhattacherjee, President, State Committee and Gautam Bhattacharjee, Secretary. Invited Speaker for the event will be Dr. Achintya Das. Apart from the conference cultural program, Kavi Sammelan and prize distribution function will be held. Stalls will also be put for makeup of women. At the press conference Nikhal Dutta, Jharna Kar, Prashant Banerjee and Nisar Sarfuddin were present.
