Jamshedpur, March 11: The Safety Week organized at RD Tata Technical Education Center Golmuri concluded on Saturday. Winners of various competitive events organized during the course of the Safety Week were awarded prizes during the valedictory ceremony.
Chief guest, Safety Professional Sushanta Rakshit said, “Safety is necessary to avoid unforeseen incidents. There are occasions when we do not understand the importance of safety and security. It is always advisable to be alert, safe and secure. Accidents occur mostly for not following safety norms. The National Safety Council works to spread awareness on adopting safety measures for preventing accidents.”
Principal Preeta John, Ramesh Rai, Varun Kumar, Mrinmoy K Mahato, Niranjan Kumar, Deepak Ojha, Sharmishta, Anil Jawali, Deepak Sarkar, Nakul Kumar, Shiva and others were present at the ceremony.
The first and second prize winners, respectively in the various competitive categories included Shruti Kumari and second prize Shailesh Yadav (Speech), Anshu Kumari and Shobha Kumari (Slogan) and Sneha Majhi and Vivek Purty (Poster Making). The first prize in the Safety Quiz competition went to the team of Daisy Kumari and Vimal Singh while the duo of Abhinandan Das and Rahul Kumar bagged the second spot.
