Jamshedpur, May 5: A training session on ‘The Good Samaritan Law’ and ‘Addiction in adolescents: prevention and awareness’ for school children was conducted by Safety Awareness For Everyone (SAFE) in Kudy Mahanty Auditorium for 340 students and SAFE coordinators of 29 schools.
Session named “Farishtey” was inaugurated by Ruchi Narendran, Chairperson SAFE and Neeraj Kumar Sinha, Chief Safety, Tata Steel. Dr Manoj Sahoo, Senior Consultant and HOD Psychiatry Tata Main Hospital and team of CII Young Indians took the sessions on valuable subjects. Neeraj Kumar Sinha encouraged students to take maximum benefit of such sessions by making it more interactive.
Mom Mitra, Convener SAFE informed that target audience of this session were students of Std IX to Std XII and SAFE will continue organising such sessions with relevant topics for children. There was a question and answer session at end where school children asked various questions to faculty members.
SAFE is actively engaged in 32 schools of Jamshedpur, 4 schools of Jharia, 7 schools of OMQ and 7 schools of West Bokaro. Tata Steel facilitates this initiative by organizing various safety initiatives for schools through an annual plan.
