Jamshedpur, Oct. 3: Fun N Fitness team of Vijaya Gardens conducted Sporting Events at Vijaya Gardens, Baridih on 2nd October to celebrate Olders Day (1st Oct) & Gandhi Jayanti at Big Park, Vth Phase.
In the walking race-Sr.
Citizens (Men) – 60 yrs & above- Karnail Singh got the first prize followed by R S Sunda, and R S Singh. In women above 50 yrs- Ravinder Kaur wo the first prize, Shikha Dutta received second while Kuldeep Kaur was third. In Tug of War for Men & Women held separately- VG COBRA won the Tug of War in men Category. VG Dominator beat VG Roaring Tigers by 2 sets to 1 while VG Cobra team beat VG Dominator and VG Roaring Tigers by 2 sets to 0. VG Rest of team won the Tug of War in women Category.
VG Rest of team beat VG 28 & 29 Block team by 1 – 0. Large number of children and residents of Vijaya Gardens were present on the occasion and lastly a “Sadbhavna Walk” was attended by all the participants and paid homage to Mahatama Gandhi. All the events were technically conducted by Kali Shanker Ojha (National Athlete & Judge), Kewal Singh (Ex Indian Athlete), CH Srinivas Rao (Qualified Judge).
Avinash Kumar, Organizer of the event was supported by Samarjeet Mohanty, Prashant Kumar, Ritesh Kumar Sinha, Mukesh Kumar, Col. Sumit Verna, Shyam Bhusan, S K Jha and many children and residents were present on the occasion
