Chaibasa, Feb. 26 : Tribal Advisory Council (TAC) member JB Tubid organized a Mega Hydrocele operation camp at Sadar Hospital in Chaibasa on Sunday.
The camp was inaugurated by Director-in-chief of state health services Dr Praveen Chandra. In his address, JB Tubid said that the purpose behind conducting the hydrocele operation camp is to cure the disease which is found in every second families in Kolhan.
‘We have enrolled one thousand patient and around one hundred hydrocele patients would be undergoing operation. Kolhan is still suffering from killing in the name of witchcraft practices. Previous years 35 people were killed in different crimes whereas 135 people were killed in the name of witchcraft practices’, he added.
Tubid also appealed that the party and government should work hand-in-hand then only we would be able to serve the society. The chief guest Dr Praveen Chandra praised the initiative taken by Tubid and termed it a really exemplary work which would provide treatment to one thousand hydrocele patients.
He further said that all the Sadar hospitals would be equipped with dialysis and ICU facilities and the people possessing BPL card would be treated for free while the person having less than 72 thousand rupees annual income would have to pay only Rs 1042.
Medical specialists of four medical teams led by Prof. Dr Divakar Hanada, HOD MGM hospital Jamshedpur. Present on the occasion were BJP district president Suru Nandi , Sanju Pandey civil surgeon and others.
