Jamshedpur, Jan. 17: DBMS English School hosted the ’28th Inter School Seuli Seal Memorial Quiz Contest’ on Thursday. This quiz is held every year in loving memory of Seuli, a student of our school, whom we tragically lost on 3rd March, 1989.
The quiz master for the day was Vinay Mudaliar, founder of �Mindcogs�, a prominent Quiz, which believes in �Spreading Knowledge in an Engaging way.� Vinay is known for his high energy, wit, high quality content and his connect with students. The quiz contest saw participants of class 5, 6 and 7.
Around 20 schools participated in the preliminary round where their knowledge was tested over a wide spectrum. Six teams qualified for the finals including Loyola School, D. B. M. S. English School, Sacred Heart Convent School, J. H. Tarapore School, R. V. S. Academy and Vidhya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya.
The quiz comprised six rounds. The children were quizzed on a wide array of subjects wherein they had to exercise their wits to battle it out for the top spot. It was truly an infotainment Quiz which was enjoyed by both the participants and the audience.
Sacred Heart Convent School with 56 points emerged as the winner in a closely fought contest, followed by DBMS. English School with 55 points and JH Tarapore School with 45 points.
The Quiz was witnessed by the school Chairperson Bhanumathi Neelekantan, B. Chandrashekhar and Lalitha Chandrashekhar, Joint Chairpersons , DBMS Board of Trustees, Hema Raghavan, Secretary , DBMS Managing Committee , Meena Mohan, Joint Secretary, DBMS Managing Committee , Sukanya Chandrashekhar, Treasurer, DBMS Managing Committee and Principal Rajani Shekhar, Vice Principal P.K. Sahu who supported in making the event successful.
