Sacred Heart Convent students shine at ‘Youth Festival’

Jamshedpur: R.V.S Academy hosted Youth Festival with great zeal and enthusiasm on 25th August. School festivals and programs give children the opportunity to thrive in an environment that encourages exploration and creative expression. They provide inspiring and enriching activities that the children can’t get elsewhere with the same hope and dreams.

An Inter school ‘Elocution’ Competition was held in the school auditorium. The category comprised the classes Std IX to Std.XII. The 2nd event was held in the school was ‘Just a Minute competition’.

The students got a chance to express their aural skill both in Elocution and in Just a Minute. Fluent and persuasive versions were given out by them on both the topics. Mona K. Bahadur and Meeta Lal, educationists and eminent orators of repute, were the honourable judges.

The Principal stressed on the importance of public speaking and its influence on the people and appreciated the students who participated actively.

In the elocution contest Ayushi Marwah of Sacred Heart Convent School was crowned the winner, Ankita Das of DAV Public School, Bistupur was second followed by Muskan of Narbheram Hansraj English School.

The winners of Just a Minute was Vanshita Saavarna of Sacred Heart Convent School followed by Jayashree Nandi of K.S.M.S and Ankush Choudhary of DAV Public School.

Earlier, the program started with the good wishes of the school Chairman Binda Singh, Secretary Bharat Singh, members of executive committee Shakti Singh, Principal V. Chhaya Das and teachers.
