Sacred Heart Convent School Jamshedpur students shine at awards night

Snehal Rai bags Ram Awtar Chachra Memorial Trophy

Jamshedpur, June 29: Students and faculty members of Sacred Heart Convent School, Jamshedpur participated in the annual prize distribution function here on Wednesday.

The annual awards ceremony gave an opportunity to recognise achievements of the students in ICSE and ISC exam. The school honoured all its achievers for having attained a sterling record both in scholastic and co-scholastic domain.

Mamta Priyadarshi, Divisional Forest Officer, Jamshedpur Forest Division was the chief guest on the occasion.

The proud parents also gathered to cherish the feats of their students.

The chief guest along with Sister Rashmita A.C., principal of the school, presented certificates to the students who excelled in academics and various activities, throughout the year.

Chief Guest Priyadarshi heaped praises on the winners. She said that the array of talent present was testament to the students’ dedication and commitment to learning and involvement in the school community.  

Principal, Sister Rashmita A.C. appreciated the efforts of the school staff for the smooth coordination of the events and congratulated the students.

Ram Awtar Chachra Memorial Trophy for securing the highest marks in ICSE was bagged by Snehal Rai (99%).

Ananya Paul (97.5%) won the Chandrashekar Trophy for securing the highest percentage in ISC Arts Stream.

Priyanshi Doshi (97.75%) received the Sampooran Singh Trophy for securing the highest percentage in ISC Commerce Stream.

Aakhya Sinha (96% in Pure Science) and Snigdha Bhowany (93.25% in Bio Science) won Leoperiera Trophy for securing highest percentage in Science Stream.

Indira Patnaik Memorial Trophy for securing the highest percentage in ISC was bagged by Priyanshi Doshi (97.75%).

In the Primary section Aaradhya Choudhary was declared the Best Carmel Girl while Best Outgoing Primary Student Award was bagged by Akchada Sharma.

The school also gave away special awards to Middle School students. Shreyashi Mukherjee and Veera Pathak received Ubaldo Gomes Memorial Trophy for Middle School.

The Leadership Award for Std 6 donated in memory of Asha Lata Sinha was given to Adrita Nag and Aashi Agarwal.

Earlier, the programme commenced with the presentation of the bouquets and lighting of the lamp followed by a prayer service by the students of Class XII and a prayer dance performed by the students of the Primary Department to invoke the blessings of the Almighty.

The students of the High School Choir entertained the audience with a song and the Middle School performed an enthralling Choral Recitation.
