Sacred Heart Convent School Jamshedpur hosts interfaith dialogue on ‘Peace with Creation’

Religious leaders share insights on protecting the environment and fostering harmony across communities

Jamshedpur, Sep 26: As part of the Season of Creation Project, Sacred Heart Convent School organized an interfaith dialogue on 26 September, 2025, to foster collaboration among faith leaders and promote peace and harmony. The event was organized by the school’s Environment Club and carried the theme “Peace with Creation.”

The dialogue featured participants from various faith traditions, including Behdin Pasbaan Suzaan Navel Chothiya, Brahmakumari Anju Behen, Bhai Jaspal Singh Chhabra, Father David Vincent, and Mrs. Rukh-e-Zeba-Khan. They shared insights on how their beliefs emphasize the sacredness of creation and the interconnectedness of all life.

The event brought together representatives from diverse religions to highlight shared values such as compassion, justice, and harmony that unite humanity in caring for the Earth. All the speakers stressed the importance of unity and peace. One of the speakers said, “By working together, faith communities can demonstrate a powerful, unified commitment to creating a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world for future generations.”

School Principal Sister M. Steffi highlighted the importance of dialogue, saying, “Dialogue can be difficult, but it is vital. It allows different communities to engage in respectful conversation, understand each other’s beliefs and values, and foster tolerance while countering stereotypes and prejudices that may lead to intolerance or violence.”

The event concluded with a call to action for all participants to carry the spirit of collaboration and environmental responsibility into their communities and daily lives, inspiring ongoing efforts toward a peaceful and sustainable future.
