Jamshedpur, Dec 18: To ensure regular supply of blood for the needy, the Interact Club of Sacred Heart Convent School organised blood donation camp in support of Meherbai Tata Memorial Hospital (MTMH) cancer patients, in the school premises on Wednesday, December 18. The camp began at 9 am and continued till 2 pm.
The camp was inaugurated by Sister Magdella. She has been working for cancer patients for more than 33 years now.
This Blood Donation Camp is an annual event. Teachers, senior section students and parents came forward to donate blood. The drive collected 27 units of blood which will be used for cancer patients.
The Jamshedpur Blood bank staff and Interact club members volunteer for it every year.
