Jamshedpur, Aug 23: Tata Steel Sports Department organised Inter JOGGA School Athletics Championship on August 22 -23 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. This event was part of Sir Dorabji Tata Birth Anniversary and National Sports Day Celebrations.
A total of 30 schools participated in the two-day meet. Total 1164 students participated in 53 sporting events. The Prizes were given to the winning teams by Archana Gupta, President, JOGGA.
In junior girls category Sacred Heart Convent School with 30 points was declared the champion.
1st runner up award was bagged by Tarapore School scoring 15 points and 2nd runner up was KPS Kadma with 11 points.
In junior boys Kasidih High School scored 37 points to be crowned the champions. 1st runner up was RMS scoring 20 points followed by DBMS Kadma with 12 points.
In the senior girls category- JH Tarapore scored 29 Points to be crowned the winner followed by Sacred Heart Convent scoring 20 points while 2nd runner up was KPS Gamharia with 12 points.
In the senior boys- Kasidih High School with 25 points was the winner followed by Beldih Church scoring 16 points while St. Mary’s English High School with 12 points was second runner-up.
