Sabuj Sangh to celebrate 52nd Kali Puja at Sonari this year

Jamshedpur: The pandal construction for Kali Puja going to be organized by Sabuj Sangh at East Layout, Sonari, began here on Sunday. Members of the puja organizing committee performed bhumi pujan at the pandal venue. This is the 52nd year of Kali Puja by Sabuj Sangh. This year, the puja will start on 18th October. The immersion of idol of Goddess Kali will take place on 23rd October.
The committee general secretary Kajal Mukherjee and media in-charge Pranav Mukherjee said cultural events will be organized throughout the puja. The pandal is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 3.5 lakh. It will be based on the model of a boat and will also have beautiful decoration with electric lights.
Among those present during the puja included Pradip Banerjee, AS Dhanjal, Lalu Sur, Bapi Nayak, Budo Das and Anjan Sanyal.
