Jamshedpur, August 28: The Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), Jamshedpur Chapter, will organize a Materials and Metallurgy Quiz programme, titled �3rd Professor S.N. Sinha Memorial Materials and Metallurgy Quiz (SNSM3Q 2015)�.
The quiz will be organized for Standard XI and XII students on 1st September, 2015 at CSIR-NML’s Auditorium in Burmamines.
The two winning teams will be selected to participate in Professor Brahm Prakash Memorial Materials Quiz – 2015 to be held at Kalpakkam on 19th September, 2015.
The Kalpakkam unit of the Indian Institute of Metals (IIM) has been conducting the Prof. Brahm Prakash Memorial Materials Quiz (BPMMQ) for the students of class XI and XII since 1990.
This year, the grand finale of Prof. Brahm Prakash Memorial Materials Quiz (BPMMQ) programme will be conducted at Kalpakkam on September 19, 2015.
The BPMMQ programme was initiated as an effort to create awareness among the students about the role of materials science and metallurgy in industrial and technological developments.
In the year 1993, this event was named after Prof. Brahm Prakash, an eminent metallurgist of India. Over the years, this competition has attracted appreciation from educationalist, researchers & industrialists and is considered a prestigious annual event of the Kalpakkam Chapter and the IIM.
The National Level “Prof. Brahm Prakash Memorial Materials Quiz” has gained wide popularity among students. More than 50 teams comprising 100 students from all around the country participate every year.
