RYLA 2026 Inspires Young Leaders in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 2: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur inaugurated the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) 2026 at Kerala Public School Kadma, launching a two-day leadership development programme for students.


Around 200 students from 11 leading schools across the city are participating in the event, which focuses on building leadership skills, confidence, and a spirit of service among youth. The programme began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a cultural performance by students of Tarapore School Agrico. The event was anchored by Anuja Vaidyanathan, who set an engaging tone.
Chief Guest Ravi Radhakrishnan, Chief – Aviation Services at Tata Steel, addressed the gathering and encouraged students to embrace challenges, think innovatively, and develop leadership qualities early in life.
Several Rotary leaders were present, including Regional Director PP Sharat Chandran, Assistant Governor Kusum Thakur, Past District Governors Ronald D’Costa and Dr. R Bharat, and District Interact Chair Madhumita Santra.


Kaustubh Kumar, Youth Services and RYLA Chair, welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of such initiatives. Club President Capt. Anil Pandey reaffirmed Rotary’s commitment to youth development.
The day featured interactive sessions on personality development, communication skills, innovation, and career guidance. A special session on “Jharkhand Vision 2030” encouraged students to think about their role in the state’s future.
The programme ended with a lively DJ session. The second day will include more activities, competitions, and a closing ceremony with awards.
