RVS Engineering College signs MoU with UltraTech Cement

Jamshedpur, July 18:  RVS College of Engineering and Technology formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UltraTech Cement today, represented by Suvojit Bose from UltraTech Cement. The signing ceremony took place at RVS College of Engineering and Technology, where the MoU was signed between the Zonal Head of UltraTech and College Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, exchanging documents to mark the occasion.

The event began with the Principal extending a warm welcome to the guests with a bouquet of flowers. Shatrughan Singh, the institute’s treasurer, presented a shawl and memento during the ceremony. In his address, Suvojit Bose mentioned that UltraTech Cement has established MoUs with approximately 50 engineering colleges across India, including RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur, alongside top institutions like NITs and IITs.

The MoU aims to enhance industry-academic relations, benefiting both parties. The Civil Engineering Department of the college, in collaboration with UltraTech Cement, plans to conduct various skill development programs. These include technical seminars, workshops, training programs, conferences, industrial visits, and guest lectures, providing students with exposure to the civil engineering sector and opportunities to engage in research and development projects.

Sayal Chakraborty, Manager at UltraTech Cement, expressed satisfaction in including RVS students Susmita Kumari, Deepak Prasad, and Gudu Kumar Mahato in his team. The event also saw the presence of chief guest Shri Vidya Bhushan Pandey, Regional Head Ratnesh Utpal, Technical Sales Head, Dean of College Administration Professor Krishna Murari, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering Dr. Rajesh Kumar Paswan, Dr. Sanatan Prasad, Professor Y.P. Rao, and other faculty members.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Vikram Sharma, Head of the Placement Department.
