RVS College Jamshedpur hosts seminar, emphasis on research, academic excellence

Jamshedpur: A one-day seminar on the importance of quality education was organized by the IQAC Cell of RVS College of Engineering & Technology, bringing together academicians and industry experts for a meaningful exchange of ideas. The event aimed to highlight the role of quality teaching and research in shaping future-ready graduates.

The seminar featured eminent guests, including Prof. Dr. D. A. Khan from NIT Jamshedpur, Arindam Ghosh, Head of RSB and Harish Kumar, CEO and Founder of Arena Tech Consultant Pvt. Ltd. They were welcomed by Treasurer of RVS Educational Trust, Shatrughan Singh, with shawls and mementos.

Principal Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Tiwari addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of maintaining high standards in education. He outlined the institution’s initiatives to strengthen teaching methodologies and encouraged faculty members to engage in impactful research and publications. He also highlighted that the college organized at least two international conferences annually, fostering academic collaboration and innovation.

IQAC Coordinator Prof. Y. P. Rao presented a research paper titled ‘Reflecting the Past, Strengthening the Present and Shaping the Future,’ offering a comprehensive overview of the achievements and activities across departments.

Prof. Khan appreciated the institution’s efforts, while Arindam Ghosh commended its focus on skill development beyond academics. Harish Kumar stressed the need to align education with industry demands to reduce unemployment.

Treasurer Shatrughan Singh expressed satisfaction with the IQAC Cell’s functioning, noting that such seminars provided valuable direction to stakeholders. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dean Research, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, acknowledging the contributions of the organizing team.
