Jamshedpur, March 12: RVS Academy has been accredited with the International Dimension Award (IDA) for the period of three years (2020-2023) by British Council.
The school bags the prestigious IDS Award for third time in a row. This is an undertaking of the British Council to connect all the schools worldwide by collaborating in various projects on a varied number of subjects and topics which concern the people globally. Schools and students in India and across the globe get an opportunity to work together and exchange information and ideas about their countries, cultures and education system.
This prestigious and coveted award is awarded to schools in a grand ceremony at various venues selected by the British Council but this year due to COVID 19, the trophy and certificates were sent through the British Council representative and graciously accepted by the school Principal, Mitali Roy Choudhury and the Vice Principal Veesha Mohindra.
The school had collaborated with partner schools in United kingdom, Ghana, Argentina, Nepal , Colombia and Poland to work on various projects based on renewable and non renewable resources, medicinal plants, the games we play, good health, No poverty- No hunger, protect the planet and life on Earth.
Continuous hard work and constant interchange of ideas and materials between partner schools internationally culminated in the successful completion of the projects.
The teachers, project heads and students worked diligently throughout the year to provide valuable information to their partner schools. This helped in creating a global outlook and understanding. A weeklong visit from teachers and students of Consett Academy , United Kingdom to RVS Academy brought the greatest laurel to the school and it was yet another feather in the crown. The staff and students of RVS Academy were mesmerized by the gestures of the guests from United Kingdom and the visitors went back to their country with memories to cherish.
The successful achievement of the award is due to the constant and unconditional support of the School Management, who believes in inculcating global values and ethics in their students and providing them various avenues for the development of global citizens.
