Jamshedpur, Oct 17: Students of RVS Academy brought smiles and warmth to the residents of Old Age Home, Furida, Dimna Road, during a heartfelt visit held on Wednesday as part of the school’s community outreach programme.

Over 100 students from Classes IV to XI participated in the initiative aimed at nurturing empathy and social responsibility. The young visitors presented a delightful cultural programme featuring songs, dances and a short skit that left the elderly residents visibly moved and joyful. The atmosphere brimmed with laughter and affection as the performances created a bridge of love between the generations.
In a gesture of goodwill, the students and school management donated gifts, edibles and other essential items to the home. “It was a touching experience to see our students share moments of genuine care and warmth,” said a school representative, commending the students’ enthusiasm and compassion.
The interaction also left a deep impression on the children, many of whom expressed a renewed sense of respect for the elderly. “We learned how important it is to make our elders feel loved and valued,” shared a participating student.
The visit, filled with emotion and gratitude, concluded with heartfelt blessings from the residents, making it a memorable lesson in humanity for the young participants.
