Rupa Sarkar speaks on genres of English literature at Srinath University

Jamshedpur, Jan 31: Department of English, Srinath University, hosted Dr. Rupa Sarkar, Associate Professor of Arka Jain University during the second segment of the bi-monthly lecture series, Literary Caravan.

Dr Rupa Sarkar, the Associate Professor of the department of English at Arka Jain University, elaborated on the expansion of English and the genres of literature. She was welcomed by Srinath University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) S. N. Singh. The lecture was an introduction to the fresh undergraduates on the different genres of literature. She discussed various types of texts and ascertained how each genre created a different set of expectations.

Dr Sarkar highlighted the pace of English language over the years and traced the development of English literature from the Old English period. Dr. Sarkar’s session was interactive with the students.
