Run residential schools with the help of self help groups: CS

Ranchi, Jan. 8: Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba directed the officers to prepare a list of implemented schemes and send the report to the departments by 15 January, 2016. He said it while conducting a meeting of principal secretaries, secretaries & senior officers of different departments on budget & implementation of schemes.

The CS said that residential schools should be run with the help of self help groups and they should be upgraded in the line of Kasturba Gandhi Girls School. For this, the department was told to prepare work plan to implement it in the new budget. He asked the departments to expense the allotted budget and improve their status by February.

He asked the Health Department to select a wide insurance scheme to implement it in the next budget.
The departments presented detailed report of the work done through Power Point Presentation. School education department, home department, UDD, PDS, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Road Construction, RDD & other departments presented their report.

Additional Chief Secretary Mr. N. N. Pandey, Principal Secretary Finance Mr. Amit Khare, Principal Secretary Road Construction Department Mrs. Rajbala Verma, Principal Secretary, UDD Mr. Arun Kr. Singh, Principal Secretary, Health Department Mr. K. Vidyasagar, DGP Mr. D. K. Pandey, Principal Secretary, Energy Mr. S.K.G. Rahate, Welfare Secretary Mr. Rajiv Arun Ekka, PDS Secretary Mr. Vinay Kr. Choubey and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
