Ruckus over medical negligence at Jamshedpur hospital

Jamshedpur, Aug 4: Ruckus created by relatives of a patient over negligence on the part of doctor was controlled in time by the new superintendent of MGM Hospital, Dr Arun Kumar on Wednesday who immediately ordered for proper treatment of the patient. 
According to reports, Uttam Kumar Modak from Birsanagar Zone Number 1 is suffering from fracture of a spinal bone and was brought to the hospital for treatment but he was not getting treatment. The relatives pleaded before the doctor on duty for attention to the patient. The patient relatives then informed BJP SC Morcha state vice-president Bimal Baitha who reached the spot and complained to the hospital superintendent while his supporters started raising slogans against the hospital. 
The hospital superintendent immediately came to the spot and directed for better treatment of the patient. The BJP leader said that there have been regular complaint of medical negligence on the part of doctors and officials at the MGM hospital but the state government is sleeping and alleged that the health minister had claimed that things will change within three months but it has been over two years but even a dresser has not been appointed.
He also cited manpower problems in the hospital and called for action against staff found missing from duty at the hospital.
