RSB inks pact with AP Government to set up Rs 60-cr propeller shaft plant

Jamshedpur, June 16: The Rs 1,400 crore RSB Group, which is in to manufacturing wide range of
products such as propeller shafts, steering systems & components, transmission components & assembly
and construction equipment aggregates, today inked a pact with Andhra Pradesh Government to set up a state-of-art facility at Sri City.

SK Behera, Vice Chairman & MD, RSB Group, inked a pact with Andhra Pradesh Government in presence of
Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, to set up a stateof-art facility at Sri City at an investment of Rs 60 crores, to manufacture latest generation of propeller shaft to cater to Isuzu Motors and other global OEMs – Ashok Leyland, Daimler, etc in south besides pan India and overseas.

Mr Behera exchanged documents of Pact after signing in the presence of Chandrababu Naidu flanked at the extreme right by Mr SS Udgata, Director, I-Design Engineering Solutions.

RSB has an on-going collaboration with worldrenowned Eugen Klein GmbH, Germany and Jidosha Buhin Kogyo Co.Ltd. (JBK), Japan, for manufacture of technologically advanced Propeller Shaft.

Mr Behera, speaking on the occasion, said RSB is a market leader in Propeller Shaft in catering to leading OEMs and this pact will further boost RSB’s market share catering to CV/SUV/LCV segments.

He further added, RSB is a Deming Company, quality norms are very stringent and meets uncompromising
global standards.

Presently, it has 13 manufacturing plants spread over 7 locations in India, namely Jamshedpur (Jharkhand),
Pune (Maharashtra), Dharwad (Karnataka), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Pantnagar (Uttarakhand), Cuttack (Orissa) and Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh); and one each in Homer (USA), Silao (Mexico) and partnered venture at Brazil.
