Jamshedpur, July 1: The GST collection in Jamshedpur for the financial year 2023-2024 is poised to break previous records, with an estimated recovery of Rs 7690.38 crore compared to Rs 7163.35 crore in the previous year across Kolhan. CGST Commissioner Binod Kumar Gupta disclosed this information, highlighting ongoing efforts to surpass this figure.
In an interview, Gupta stated that while specific targets are yet to be finalized, there is a projected increase of approximately 15%. Efforts are focused on enhancing tax compliance without encountering legal disputes. He emphasized the growing public awareness and cooperation in tax matters, particularly in Jamshedpur, where tax collection procedures are streamlined and devoid of controversy.
Efforts are underway to expedite tax settlements and ensure efficient coordination with the state government, aiming for seamless GST recovery without delays or legal entanglements.
