Jadugora: Cash worth Rs 60,000 was looted from a woman in Rajdoha on the Jadugora-Narwa main road in broad daylight under Jadugora PS on Thursday.
Sources said the incident took place around 12.30 pm when two motorcycle-borne youths snatched the gold chain of one Poma Soren, a local woman. The woman was picking nails from her under-construction house in Badheghuttu village when she was robbed of her jewelry, sources said.
Sources said the looters first made a fake inquiry about an address and later ended up with the loot.
DSP Mosabani Ajit Vimal confirmed the loot and said the police were trying to trace the culprits on the basis of information furnished by the victim.
