Rs 1200 looted from golgappa seller in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 13: Criminals looted cash worth Rs 1200 from a golgappa seller in Kadma late Tuesday night.

Sources said the victim, Sudarshan Sah, a resident of Kali Mandir Road, Ramjanam Nagar, was returning home with his son Pradip Sah around 9.30 pm when four persons stopped him and looted cash from his pocket. The accused persons also assaulted the father and son, causing injuries on their face and head respectively, police said.

The looters were identified as Rajesh Gope, Ritik Soy, Ganesh Mahali and Dabra, all local residents.

Local BJP leaders condemned the incident and demanded arrest of the culprits. They said the police should step up patrolling to prevent such crimes.

Recently, two criminals had looted Rs 2400 from another golgappa seller in Kadma and had injured him with a chopper.
