Jamshedpur, July 28: Two criminals looted Rs 11.20 lakh from Adityapur resident Rakesh Kumar near Beljudi Kali Mandir under MGM police station area in ​​Mango and then fled towards Jamshedpur. Victim Rakesh Kumar made a vain attempt to chase the looters on his motorcycle.

On the directives of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patamda DSP Sumit Kumar, MGM police station OC Mithilesh Kumar Singh and other officers reached the spot and interrogated local people.. Rakesh Kumar stated that he was going to Galudih in Ghatshila on his bike and was carrying Rs 11.20 lakh out of which he had to pay Rs 7 lakh to an acquaintance as repayment of a loan. He said that he stopped near the Belajuri Kali Mandir to relieve himself when two bike borne riders came up from behind and at gunpoint snatched the bag containing the money and sped away towards Jamshedpur. He told police that he gave them a chase for some distance on his motorcycle but could not catch up with them. He told police that he had his Face Book app on. 
The police swung into action as soon as the incident was reported. They tried to nab the criminals by blocking the area, but could not trace the culprits. Now the police are scanning the CCTV footage captured in the camera installed in the Belajuri Temple to trace the criminals. However, the police said that they were informed five hours after the incidence of robbery. The police also suspect the youth whom they are interrogating while adopting a tough stance.
