Jamshedpur: The promptness of female RPF jawan SR Kumari at Tatanagar railway station saved the life of a passenger.
It is said that SR Kumari of RPF post Tatanagar, Chakradharpur Division was on duty in platform number 3 of Tatanagar railway station. At the same time train number 15929 Tambaram-Tinsukhiya Express train arrived.
This train arrived at around 1.30 pm last night and at 1.36 hrs the train started. While running to catch the train, a passenger suddenly fell and got stuck in the middle of the stairs.
Female constable SR Kumari bravely acted with promptness and pulled the passenger out from the middle of the train, after which he again travelled in the train. If there was a delay in catching and evacuating the said passenger, his life could have been lost, but the promptness of the female soldier saved the life of the passenger. This entire incident has been captured in CCTV. SR Kumari will receive an award and appreciation letter from the Railway authority for her promptness and dedication to duty.
