Round Table India’s national president visits Jamshedpur to bolster social initiatives

Jamshedpur, Jan 20: Round Table India’s National President Chaitanya Dev Singh visited Jamshedpur on January 20, 2025, as part of his nationwide tour, receiving a warm welcome from members of Jamshedpur Green City Round Table 224 and Jamshedpur Yodhayein Round Table 338 at Rajasthan Seva Sadan. The visit highlighted the organization’s continued commitment to community service and its flagship “Freedom Through Education” project.

Round Table India, established in 1962 as a non-political and non-sectarian organization, has made significant strides in improving educational infrastructure across the country. Since 1997, their education initiative has resulted in the construction of over 7,600 classrooms across 3,041 government and government-aided schools, with a substantial investment of Rs 314 crores. This effort has positively impacted the lives of more than 8 million underprivileged children.

The organization, which comprises young men aged 18 to 40, has established itself as a driving force in community development, focusing on education, environmental sustainability and healthcare. Singh’s visit to Jamshedpur was part of a broader tour of Jharkhand and Odisha, aimed at strengthening the organization’s initiatives in these regions.

During his visit, Singh engaged with local chapters to discuss various community service projects and future initiatives. The organization’s sustained efforts in educational infrastructure development demonstrate its commitment to creating lasting social impact, making it a significant contributor to India’s educational landscape.
