Jamshedpur, Jan. 17: The second round of the roti distribution was conducted on Thursday jointly by Tarapore School, KPS NML, DSM School of Excellence, KSMS and KPS Burmamines.
The rotis were collected by Ashok Ghosh of Helping Hearts, who ensured that the rotis were distributed amongst the needy in the nearby areas of Jamshedpur. This initiative was envisioned and started by the Chairman of Tarapore Schools, B.D. Bodhanwala. 25 schools have agreed to be a part of the initiative. They have been divided according to areas and each day of the week, a group of schools will provide rotis to the poor through Ashok Ghosh.
The faculty and students of all schools willingly participated in this initiative and contributed rotis with a lot of enthusiasm for this noble cause, which will continue every week.
25 ICSE & ISC Schools of Jamshedpur have collaborated to begin ‘Roti’ initiative in the schools. The schools have been divided area wise so that on a particular day of the week each student of that school brings 2 chapatis wrapped in foil.
