Jamshedpur, September 29: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West celebrated World Heart Day on Thursday, September 29 with the motto of creating mass awareness on how to take care of one’s heart.
This year theme is Power your Life and Rotary West conducted a power packed programme to send the message.
Rotary Dist Governor Dr R Bharat and First Lady as well as renowned Cardiologist Dr Vijaya Bharat flagged off awareness rally on how to power one’s life by taking care of heart.
Rotary West members, Rotaractors of Karim City and Jain College started the rally along with Dr Bharat and Dr Vijaya Bharat from Bistupur Post office to N Road Traffic signal and back to the starting point. Nearly 50 members walked the road sporting caps promoting World Heart Day and hanging pamphlets with awareness messages on their Chest—close to the heart.
Dist Governor Dr Bharat lauded the effort of Rotarians and Rotaractors of Rotary club of Jamshedpur west and wished that everyone should spread the message of how to keep heart healthy as failure of that costs a life.
Rotary Dist Governor Dr R Bharat said, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West believes in creating awareness on health and social issues amongst common men, as they believe prevention is best way of tackling any problem. Recent study indicates that Heart ailment is one of the major factors of untimely death in India. We can tackle the situation with some precautions which are not difficult to take care in our regular lives.
President of Rotary West Alakananda Bakshi, Past President Amitava Bakshi, Secretary Shweta Chand, Dr Rita Jha, Sanjay Kedia, Babita Kedia, Eklavya Rajan, Joohi Samarpita, Sudip Banerjee, Rotaractors Rinku Kumar, Amandeep, Amara, Abhinav, Tasneem and others helped in making the programme a grand success.
